WINRS completes 3-year consultation on PCORI-funded project
WINRS concluded a 3-year consultation with Elizabeth D. Cox, MD, PhD in the UW-Madison Department of Pediatrics on her study funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, Family-Centered Tailoring of Pediatric Diabetes Self-Management Resources. The project involved multiple stakeholder boards that advised the research team. WINRS worked with Dr. Cox and her team to develop Parent Advisory Boards (PABs) at sites in Madison and Milwaukee. WINRS consultation services included advice on stakeholder recruitment; design and delivery of a tailored orientation for the PABs; development of detailed agendas for PAB meetings; facilitation of PAB meetings; and comprehensive reports for the research team describing processes and outcomes from PAB meetings. We had a great experience working with Elizabeth and her project coordinator Dr. Gwen Jacobsohn (now a Primary Care Research Fellow in the UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health)!
